Privacy policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

This policy explains what personal data this website processes, why, and what rights you have.

Who is responsible

This website is operated by Derived Logic, an American company. For any question about privacy, please write to contact@derivedlogic.ai.

When you visit

To deliver the pages and protect the site against abuse, our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure) and our network and security provider (Cloudflare) process technical data such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, and your browser type. We do not use these data to identify you and do not combine them with other sources. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Choosing your language

When you first arrive, your browser reads its own language setting and time zone in order to show the most suitable version of this site. Where available, it also asks our network provider for the approximate country associated with your connection. This happens in your browser; we do not record the result.

Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies. It keeps three small settings in your browser’s local storage, solely so that the site works as you have asked: your language (dl-lang), your color scheme (dl-theme), and your privacy choice (dl-consent). These are strictly necessary and therefore exempt from consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, § 25(2) of the German TDDDG, and the UK’s PECR. The site contains no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party embeds; its fonts are served from our own domain.

Optional audience measurement

We use audience measurement only with your consent. Should we introduce it, it will be privacy-respecting and aggregate, and this policy will name the provider before it is enabled. You may give or withdraw consent at any time through “Privacy settings” at the foot of every page; withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it.

If you write to us

If you contact us by email, we use your address and message to reply and to conduct any resulting correspondence, and we keep them only as long as that requires (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

International transfers

Our service providers are based in the United States. Transfers of personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions, or on standard contractual clauses, as applicable.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, please write to the address above; we will reply without undue delay and within any deadline your law sets.

Visitors in Europe

We treat the European standard as the baseline for every visitor. In the European Union and the wider European Economic Area (Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway), this site complies with the General Data Protection Regulation and with the national rules implementing the ePrivacy Directive. In the United Kingdom it complies with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and PECR; in Switzerland, with the revised Federal Act on Data Protection; and in Guernsey, Jersey, and the Isle of Man, with their own data-protection laws. Visitors in Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, North Macedonia, San Marino, Serbia, Türkiye, and Ukraine enjoy the rights given by their national laws, many of which follow the GDPR or the Council of Europe’s Convention 108+. Wherever your national law grants more protection than this notice describes, your national law prevails. You may complain to the data-protection authority of the country in which you live or work; in the United Kingdom, that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Visitors beyond Europe

We hold ourselves to the same standard everywhere. We also recognize the strong privacy laws of partners beyond Europe, including Australia’s Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020, Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the Republic of Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act, Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act, Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act, and Uruguay’s Law No. 18.331; visitors there may exercise the rights those laws provide. In the United States, we do not sell or share personal information, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals by default, because nothing on this site tracks you.

Changes

We will revise this policy if our practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
